How do I create a new outreach sequence?

Creating an outreach sequence in BluChip Scout is simple—and gives you a powerful way to automate your communication while still keeping it personal.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Go to the Sequences tab
    From your Scout dashboard, click on “Sequences” and then hit “Create New Sequence.”

  2. Name your sequence
    Give it a name that helps you remember who it’s for—like “Marketing Internships” or “Tech Hiring Managers.”

  3. Add your steps
    Choose whether each step is an email, LinkedIn connection request, or LinkedIn message.

    • Write your message (you can use dynamic fields like {{firstName}} or {{company}})

    • Set the timing (e.g., 3 days after the previous step)

    • Add as many steps as you’d like

  4. Preview & test
    Review your sequence to make sure everything looks good. You can send test emails to yourself to double-check formatting and personalization.

  5. Save and assign
    Once your sequence is complete, click Save. Then you can assign it to any campaign or contact list whenever you’re ready to launch.

Pro tip: Start with 3–4 well-timed steps. You can always duplicate and tweak sequences later for different roles, industries, or use cases.
