How does the delay "Immediately" feature work?

Understanding the “Immediately” Delay in Scout Campaigns

When setting up delays between steps in a Scout campaign, you now have the option to select an “Immediately” delay. Here’s how that works, broken down simply:

1. For the “If connected” condition:

When you apply an “Immediately” delay here, Scout checks right after the connection request is sent to see whether the person accepted it.

If your campaign includes 3rd-degree contacts, Scout gives them up to 2 minutes to accept. If they don’t, Scout assumes the request wasn’t accepted right away and continues down the “No” path in your sequence.

While this option is great for speed testing, we recommend using a longer delay — at least one full day — for this condition. That extra time gives your contacts a real chance to accept the connection, which can improve response rates and make your campaigns more effective.

2. For other actions (like “View profile” or “Like post”):

Here, the “Immediately” delay triggers the next action as soon as Scout verifies that the condition is met.

For example, once someone accepts your connection request, Scout can instantly move to the next step, like viewing their profile or liking their most recent post.

The “Immediately” delay is ideal for time-sensitive sequences or campaign testing, but when your goal is to build real relationships, giving your contacts more time between steps can lead to better outcomes.

Contact Look-Ups

Unlock verified email and LinkedIn info for your target contacts so you can reach out directly. Each time you unlock a person’s contact information (email, LinkedIn, and more), it counts as a contact look-up. Your plan includes a set number of credits to use toward these look-ups.
