What are the requirements for the CSV file (LinkedIn campaigns)?

When you create LinkedIn campaigns using a CSV file to import your leads, it’s important to ensure the file meets the following requirements to avoid errors during the upload process.

CSV File Format Requirements:

  • CSV format only: Scout supports only CSV files for importing leads.

  • File size: The CSV file should not exceed 2MB in size.

  • Single value per cell: Each cell in the file should contain only one value (e.g., one email, one name). Do not combine values in a single cell (e.g., don’t put both a first and last name in one cell).

  • Empty email cells: The email column can have empty cells; however, for LinkedIn-specific campaigns, email addresses are not mandatory.

Mandatory Fields for LinkedIn Campaigns:

When creating LinkedIn-only campaigns, these are the required fields in the CSV file:

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • LinkedIn URL

Each of these fields must be included, and a header for each column is obligatory (e.g., “First Name,” “Last Name,” “LinkedIn URL”).

Mandatory Fields for Multichannel Campaigns:

For multichannel campaigns (where you’re combining LinkedIn with email or other methods), you must include the following fields in the CSV:

  • Email

  • LinkedIn URL

  • First Name

  • Last Name

You can refer to the screenshot below for a visual example of how the CSV should be structured.

Contact Look-Ups

Unlock verified email and LinkedIn info for your target contacts so you can reach out directly. Each time you unlock a person’s contact information (email, LinkedIn, and more), it counts as a contact look-up. Your plan includes a set number of credits to use toward these look-ups.
