What is email warm-up, and how does it work in Scout?
Email warm-up is the process of gradually building your email address’s reputation so your messages land in inboxes—not spam folders. It’s especially important if you’re using a brand-new email account or domain for outreach.
BluChip Scout automatically handles email warm-up for you, so you don’t have to worry about deliverability issues.
Here’s how it works:
Scout sends a small number of emails from your account to trusted, monitored inboxes.
These emails get opened, replied to, and marked as safe—boosting your sender reputation.
The volume gradually increases over time until your account is ready for full campaigns.
You can start warming up your email as soon as you connect your inbox to Scout. We recommend running warm-up for at least 2–3 weeks before sending large campaigns, especially if your account is new.
Pro tip: Don’t skip this step! A solid warm-up can make the difference between a high-performing campaign and one that never gets seen.
