Why does searching for contacts by LinkedIn URL take so long?
When you use a LinkedIn search URL to add contacts to your campaign in Scout, the process can take some time. This happens because our app processes one page of results at a time in order to follow best practices and ensure the safety and success of your LinkedIn account.
Why does it take longer for some searches?
Scout operates by imitating human behavior as closely as possible to avoid triggering LinkedIn’s automated detection systems. By processing results one page at a time, we ensure that your actions appear natural and in compliance with LinkedIn’s guidelines.
Time per page: It roughly takes 1 minute to process each page of results, as we need to gather and filter the leads carefully.
More pages = more time: The more pages you have in your search results, the longer it will take for Scout to process the entire search. For example, if you have a search with 50 pages of results, it will naturally take longer than a search with just 10 pages.
When is the search considered complete?
Your LinkedIn search will be considered complete when one of the following conditions is met:
500 leads have been added to your campaign, or
The 100th page of search results has been processed.
While 500 leads may seem like a lot, it’s important to keep in mind that this allows for a thorough and accurate lead collection process, making sure you’re reaching the most relevant people for your campaign.
Why does this process take time, and why is it necessary?
Safety First: By following LinkedIn’s terms of use and limiting the number of actions per page, we minimize the risk of account restrictions or suspensions.
Imitating human behavior: Humans don’t scroll through dozens of pages of search results in a matter of seconds. Our method mimics the natural browsing patterns LinkedIn expects to see from real users.
Tips for Faster Campaign Setup:
Smaller searches: Narrowing your search results to fewer pages can speed up the process.
Targeted search criteria: Use specific keywords, filters, and location settings to limit your results, helping you avoid lengthy searches with hundreds of pages.
Keep in Mind:
While it may take time to process large LinkedIn searches, this step is critical in ensuring that your campaigns stay safe, effective, and compliant with LinkedIn’s guidelines. The end result will be a more tailored and accurate list of prospects for your campaign.
